Another Announcement Regarding the Future

Hey guys.

There's been a lot of these the past month and a half, because I'm trying to figure something out. As I said in my last news/updates post, the blog hit a massive jump in January, which I am so thankful for. However, even though viewership has almost doubled, I'm still not at where I want to be in terms of progress. A lot of my recent posts haven't been doing well, especially My Favorite Movies, which I am putting on hold for now, because it feels like a waste.

I'm going to take a little bit of time off. I'm going to try to sort some things out for the blog. I was planning a Peacemaker review this week, but I don't think that's going to happen. I really want to get the best content out that I can, and, recently, I feel like I've been selling out. I've been posting posts just to get views. Not because I really want to write about them, but just because I want to increase viewership. And that's not what I want this blog to be.

I'm going to take the next few weeks to figure out how I want to move forward. I'm going to talk to some people and just sort some things out. You will see a few posts in the coming weeks. I might do a few quick reviews. I'm watching Daredevil and The Haunting of Hill House right now, so I'll probably do a review of both of those. But don't expect any rankings or any really massive posts soon.

I will be back for The Batman. I have big things planned for that week, so I'm going to try to get myself figured out by then. Applications for Rotten Tomatoes open back up in March, so I will apply again and see what happens there.

If everything goes south and Batman week bombs, there's a chance that the blog goes away. There's a lot of things I really want to do right now, and I feel myself pushing too hard to do the blog. I'm not enjoying it as much. It's more stress than enjoyment, because I want to increase my views. And I really don't like that.

I'll see. I'm going to assess the current situation and take things from there. I really do want to continue on the blog, but I also want to enjoy writing for the blog. If I don't enjoy it, there's really no point for me.

But I'm optimistic. Maybe something crazy will happen with Rotten Tomatoes. Maybe The Batman doubles viewership again and the blog gets another massive boost. Who knows?

Anyways, I just want to thank you guys for continuing to read and support the blog. I know this may have sounded a little bit more negative than you'd expect, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up. I still want to put out good content for you guys to read, and I hope you keep enjoying my reviews and rankings. Thanks!
